Welcome to the Band Director’s lounge, a podcast about what makes great instrumental music programs. My name is Logan Burnside and I am a band director trying to build a great program by learning from others and sharing my knowledge along the way.

Logan Burnside teaches 8-12 band in Jordan, MN. He earned a BA in Music Education from Gustavus Adolphus College and a MA in Music Education at the University of St. Thomas. Logan has studied with John Engebretson and Steve Cole and is a founding member of the Twin Cities Saxophone Quartet.

In the fall of 2018 Logan started The Band Director’s Lounge to help band directors learn from one another and provide additional resources for the instrumental music education field. Since then it has been steadily growing and receiving positive feedback from around the United States.

Logan lives in the suburbs of the Twin Cities in Minnesota along with his wife Betsy and their adorable daughter Madelyn (2) and son Russell (Newborn).
